What is Therapy?

Psychotherapy & Counselling can improve and increase your self-awareness and autonomy as well as help you to live a more fulfilling, authentic and meaningful life.

Psychotherapy & Counselling is a time for you to bring any worries and/or concerns you may have; no issues are too big or small. Together we can contemplate how these issues effect your life and how you might change the way you think about them; how you can live with them but not be affected by them.

I provide a safe and supportive space where you will to be able to explore your thoughts, feelings and express your fears or hidden desires without feeling judged or criticised.

Experience

I worked for many years as a teacher in a female prison, with women who suffered from bad mental health and trauma, and it was during those years that I became interested in working therapeutically with people.

I have volunteered for counselling services that offers help and support to people suffering from the effects of drug and alcohol misuse, as well as low-cost counselling organisation for women only services.  

Presently as a therapist, I combine my private practice with a charity body, counselling women in prison.

What can I help you with

I believe that the key to good and productive therapy is in the relationship between client and the therapist, I therefore do not consider any issue my speciality, I am open to work with whatever you bring. Together we build a relationship of trust where any subject can be discussed and contemplated.

About me

I am a warm and approachable therapists that aim to make it easier for you to talk and open up. My qualification is in psychotherapy and phenomenology and my training includes many different approaches which I tailor to suit our work together best.
